This policy applies to all services of DTVM Modern Classic Bicycles, online and in our workshop. We handle your personal data with care, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian law. This is a translation; in case of doubt, the Dutch version prevails.
1. Who is responsible?
The controller of your data is Bart Van Acker, manager of DTVM Modern Classic Bicycles.
- Address: Wettersesteenweg 122, 9520 Bavegem, Belgium
- Company number: BE 0753.966.350
- E-mail: bicycles.dtvm@outlook.com
- Phone: +32 484 35 84 69
2. What data do we collect?
We only process data that you provide to us yourself, for example when you e-mail or call us, send a message, make an appointment or buy something from us. This concerns:
- surname and first name
- e-mail address and phone number
- address
- company name and VAT number, if you buy as a company
- data needed for invoicing or shipping
- data about your bike and the work carried out
Some data is needed to be able to help you, for example to draw up an invoice. Without that data we cannot provide that service.
3. What do we use your data for?
- to answer your questions and plan appointments
- to handle orders, repairs and invoices
- to inform you about our products and services, if you gave your consent
- to comply with our legal obligations, such as accounting
We do this on the basis of the performance of a contract, a legal obligation, our legitimate interest or your consent. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
4. How long do we keep your data?
We never keep your data longer than necessary: in principle up to 5 years after the last contact, or longer if the law requires it, for example for invoices.
5. Do we share your data with others?
We never sell your data. We only share it when that is necessary for our services, for example with a carrier, our accountant or a partner for battery service, insurance or roadside assistance that you choose yourself. Those partners must comply with the GDPR. We also pass on data if the law obliges us to.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to have processing restricted, to object to it and to have your data transferred. If you gave consent, you can always withdraw it.
Send your request to bicycles.dtvm@outlook.com. We reply within 30 days.
7. Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data, such as passwords and access restrictions, regular back-ups and a duty of confidentiality for those who have access.
8. Minors
We only process data of children under 16 with the explicit consent of a parent or guardian.
